The chart of the week looks at different consumer products and services and their inflation since the year 2000. The last year and a half everyone has become very aware of inflation, mostly because it has hit in more mainstream products and services, but over the last 20+ years, inflation and deflation have been at work. Hospital services and college tuition lead the list of prices increasing the most, with food and beverage coming in slightly behind average hourly wages. Cell phones, computers and TVs have all become more affordable over the same time frame.
