In case you haven’t heard, surprise! We have an election coming up on November 5th. This week’s chart focuses on potential voters by age group. There have been significant changes over the years in terms of which demographics make up the largest part of the population. Baby boomers, who used to be the dominant age group with close to 80,000,000 voters for decades, now number around 68,000,000. Millennials have taken over with about 74,000,000 potential voters, followed by Gen-X at 65,000,000 and Gen-Z quickly rising to 44,000,000. Demographics will play a significant role in the future of the world and the economy, as well as in future elections.
